Happy Sunday! Today I’m showcasing a card design from page 54 of the January to June Mini Catalog. My take on the card is the photo above and the original from the catalog is the photo below.
I liked the way that they used the Postage Stamp Punch, with 3 images and 1 greeting to create the layout for this card.
The mushrooms are all fussy cut from the Snail Mail Designer Series Paper. I opted to do 2 narrow strips of the Snail Mail DSP under the Postage Stamps instead of one large one. I liked more white space, but it also made it harder to add the ribbon, so I left that off.
I love the bright, happy colors in the Snail Mail DSP. They are Real Red, Blushing Bride, Daffodil Delight, Bermuda Bay, and Basic Gray. The only stamp that I used from the Snailed It stamp set is the little hello greeting, but the stamp set has 6 fun images and 2 greetings. Two of the images have greetings on them. Some crafters cut the greetings off of the image but I just can’t do that. (A shiver just ran up my spine at the thought!) If I want to stamp just part of an image I use a piece of household scotch tape to cover the area that I don’t want to use, ink up the stamp and then remove the tape before stamping.
I hope that you have a chance to give this card a try. Although, I didn’t use the matching dies on this card, I would suggest purchasing the Snailed It Bundle which comes with the Snailed It stamp set and Snail Dies. You save 10% when purchasing them together and there are 13 fun dies to play with.
The Snail Mail Suite also includes a Baker’s Twine Combo Pack of Blushing Bride and White, and a 150 pack of Resin Hearts in red and white as well as the bright and cheerful Snail Mail Designer Paper. If you like the whole Snail Mail Suite, there is a part number to purchase EVERYTHING, so you don’t have to enter separate part numbers and worry that you missed one. I’ve added a link at the bottom of the supply list to purchase the entire suite.
If you purchase the whole Snail Mail Suite by February 28 you will also get to chose one of the Sale-a-bration items for FREE! YAY!
