I found this completed but unposted blog entry in my drafts folder. I’m not sure why I never posted it but I thought you might like seeing the way that I doubled up the butterflies for a bit of a unique look. I’ve got a migraine headache leftover from yesterday and I’m not up to completing a new blog post. As I was feeding my horses this morning, I was thinking about how much easier it was to live in our 5th wheel camper for two months. Only an 8′ x 32′ house to clean instead of 30′ x 44′ house. I’ve always loved my house, we build it ourselves with some help from friends and family. When I say built it ourselves, I mean that we wheel borrowed the cement, pounded nails, stood the walls, hung the sheet rock, ran in plumbing, duct work and wires. My husband built the cabinets and wood work from wood that was cut on our property. It’s been a labor of love, but it’s starting to get to be too big and too much work for two old farts! Hopefully, it’s just my migraine hangover bugging me. Now on to some fun stamping!

This fun book style fold is so simple, it’s my new favorite! Start with an 11″ x 4 1/4″ piece of card stock, Bumblebee on this card. Score at 4 1/4″ and 5 1/2″ add 2 strips of Tear N Tape between the score lines, remove the backer on the tape and close the card lining up the outside edges. Slick!

This humorous News Flash comes from the now retired Sale-a-bration set called Approaching Perfection. I think we all need to enjoy a bit more humor and this set is great for sending a smile. The label border stamp is in the Floating & Fluttering set and there is a matching die to cut it out in the Fluttering Dies.

I started off with the butterflies adhered flat on the card but wasn’t happy with that, so stamped and die cut another image and layered it over top with dimensionals. The awesome thing about the Floating & Fluttering stamp set is how fast it is to pop out this image. These butterflies and leaves are all on one stamp and all have stamps to fill them in! One done stamping there are 2 TWO! dies so that 2 of the images can be cut out at one time.

The black designer paper with the coastal cabana dots is one of the designs in the now retired Flower & Fields Sale-a-bration paper pack. Guess which stamp set contains this fun birthday greeting? It comes from the Approaching Perfection Sale-a-bration set. The little Bumblebee ink dots are done with a stamp from the Floating & Fluttering set.
This set of butterflies have a Bumblebee ink base and Cinnamon Cider ink details. I really like this color combination but Cinnamon Cider is my current favorite color.
I’ve also. added 3 of the In Color Enamel Dots but I think I should have used a different color. I feel like I should have a Where’s Waldo contest to find them on the card, lol. Can you spot the dots?
