4th of July Banner

This banner was created for the DOswts365 Challenge. I thought that I could use a banner to hang on my front door to get into the spirit for the 4th.

The banner bases start with 6″ x 4″ pieces of Basic White. Measure and mark the center of one short edge (2″) and cut from each top corner to the mark to create the banner base. Cut out an assortment of Silver Foil, Real Red, and Pacific Point Stitched Stars. Cut the words out of Pacific Point card stock with the Playful Alphabet Dies. (Theth” on 4th was cut with the retired Little Numbers die.) The red strip across the top is 1/4″ wide Real Red and was cut to fit after it was adhered.

Tip: Add the sheet adhesive to the cardstock before die cutting the stars and letters to create stickers. I thought of this wonderful idea AFTER I cut everything out, lol. Liquid glue works to.

Because I originally planned on hanging this on my glass door, I decided to decorate the back side as well. Retired Real Red Linen Trim was used to hang the banner. I ended up not hanging the banner on the door, but if I change my mind it will look good on both sides.

Below are close ups of each banner.
