Reflected in Nature

I’m a nature nut! I love trees and cabins in the Northwoods. When I saw that the new July to December Mini Catalog had not one, but two cabin stamp sets, I knew that I had to get both of them. The Reflected in Nature stamp set has a large image stamp with the reflection already done for you. Yay! No stamping the image onto a block and stamping the block onto the paper, just stamp the whole image all at once.

The cabin image and greeting are both stamped with Misty Moonlight ink. Even the name of the ink color is perfect for this image! I was also working on an Olympic stamping challenge and decided to add a metallic element the card. The Be Dazzling 6″ x 6″ paper is one of the items that can be redeemed for FREE during Sale-a-bration which runs August 3 thru September 30. I think it meshed well with the cabin. It made me think of sparkling hoar frost on a crisp winter day.

Rather than cutting the Basic White piece for the cabin image, it was stamped first and then trimmed with a scissor, following the wavy edges. A small bow made from the Simply Elegant Trim was added around the greeting and then the greeting layer was popped up with dimensionals.

The happy birthday greeting is from the Turtle Friends stamp set but the rest of the greetings and images are all from the Reflected in Nature set. I really wanted to get the eagle somewhere on the card, and it fit perfectly above the birthday greeting.

Be sure to add this fun stamp set onto your order when you place it on August 3. Or, if you just can’t wait, purchase it as part of your Starter Kit.
