Pretty Pansies Spinner Card

Spinner cards are so easy to make with the Give It A Whirl Die set! Cut the large front layer with the big the die and the spinner with the circle die and the hard work is done for you. For this card I added a layer of Pansy Petals Designer paper to the Soft Sea Foam card stock before I die cut the large front layer. The window is so easy to position with the little hole in the die to line it up with the hole on the large die cut. Like cutting butter with a hot knife!

The pansies on the lower portion of the card are die cut from the beautiful Pansy Petals Designer paper and the pansies on the spinner wheel have been stamped using the Pansy Patch stamp set. The greeting is also from the Pansy Petals stamp set and is stamped on a piece of Basic White card stock which has been die cut with one of the Scalloped Contour Dies.

I like to use a 1 1/4″ circle punch and punch a half circle out of the card base front to make it easier to run the spinner. Use the same color ink to stamp a pansy and let the layers add up to create darker colors, or use different colors for each layer. The stamped pansies on this card were done with a single color, except for the little dot in the center. Watch my Give It A Whirl Turtle Friends Video Tutorial for more ideas.

I almost forgot to add the photo of the inside of this card! I had to pop back on to add it, because I wanted to show you a fun way to the flowers on the edges of the Pansy Petals Designer Paper. Don’t toss them out, die cut them and use them on the edges of cards. This one got tucked into the fold on the inside of the card, but think of all the places that you could add them on the outside as well!
