Swap Card Friday

This fun fold swap card was created by Kathleen Chapman and features the Best Chapter stamp set from the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog. It’s a fold that I’m not familiar with. The card base is a flat 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ piece of paper.

The greeting layer is suspended by a folded piece of Pattern Play Designer Paper and it’s tucked under a greeting banner on a matching folded piece of Pattern Play DSP on the bottom. It’s very unique and super cute! Watch for a video once I’ve designed a card using this fun fold.

Here’s a view of the card open. You can see how the flaps are folded to create the triangle flaps. I love the ‘list’ stamp from the Best Chapter stamp set.

This swap card by Lee Ann Furness uses the All Squared Away background stamps in a very unique way. Instead of using the images as squares, Lee Ann has die them into circles. What a neat way to ‘think outside the box’. She has also used the Checks & Dots Embossing folder set in a unique way by using strips in both directions in contrasting colors.

I also like the way that she has decorated the inside of the card by cutting a circle into quarters and placing one in each corner.

I hope that you have a great weekend!
