Peaceful Cabin in Snow

This post was supposed to be done yesterday, but my day did not go as planned. Ever have one of those days? At least the weather is cooperating and giving me some extra time to get my fall gardening and house cleaning done.

The Cabin Die set has a fun little snowflake die, so I die cut multiple times to create a snow storm around my cabin, which was stamped with Crumb Cake ink on a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Crumb Cake cardstock. It was layered onto a piece of Basic White, the same size. The ‘snow’ on the cabin was created by die cutting the cabin from Basic White and gluing the snow pieces to the cabin with liquid glue.

The pretty scalloped label is also included in the Cabin Die set. The snowflakes were a few of the cut outs from the top. A strip of Early Espresso Suede Trim was added around the Crumb Cake layer and then it was placed onto a 4″ x 5 1/4″ piece of Basic Black. The card base is Thick Basic White, 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″.

I’ve been having fun switching back and forth doing Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas cards lately. I sure am glad that the weather is more summerish, though, other than the shorter days, lol. Putting up some Halloween decorations should help me remember what season it actually is.
