This card was created for a card swap that I participated in with the demonstrators in the DOstamperSTARS group. I left Minnesota before most of the swaps made it to my house, but I’m conniving a way to get them so that I can share them with you. This is one of the two cards that I made. This one features products from the Sale-A-Bration Event.
The Island Vibes stamp set has three images, two of which are used on this card. When I first saw the stamp set, it didn’t really call out to me, but I love the squared off leaves that I’ve used on the bottom of this card! They are made to stamp into a corner and I really like it! The large leaves are stamped in Granny Apple Green. To get the two colors on the potted plant, I first placed only the pot onto the Cinnamon Cider ink pad, then carefully placed only the plant portion into the Shaded Spruce ink. It’s a little tricky, but with careful placement on the ink pad, it works!
The card starts with a 3 1/4″ square of Basic White cardstock cut on the diagonal. The Granny Apple Green is cut 3 1/2″ and also cut on the diagonal. The Friendly Hello Designer Series Paper strip is 1″ x 6″ with the ends cut to match the edge of the card. The Friendly Hello paper is a combination item and comes with the pretty Friendly Hello stamp set. It is a $100 Level Sale-A-Bration reward item, but you get 2 items for free. The pack of designer paper plus the stamp set. The pretty Brushed Brass Butterflies are from the Flowering Fields Suite in the January to June Mini Catalog. I like that they are fairly flat for easy mailing.
