Two entries combined in one post! The month of February is drawing to a close and I still have 3 more entries to make in the Chinese New Year Challenge with the STARS! Since both of my entries are baseball themed I thought that I would share them together. Item 8 on the challenge list is the RED ENVELOPE – like a money holder that is passed out during new year celebrations to suppress evil spirits. I’ve made a card with a gift bag in the center CASE’d from Jan Brown. For Item 5 on the challenge, GIFT EXCHANGE – small gifts exchanged between friends/family (food/sweets), I’ve used one of the Sweet Little Boxes from the January to June Mini Catalog for a quick and easy gift box.

The cute ‘tickets’ are fussy cut from the Hey, Sports Fan Designer Series Paper. The pack includes 2 sheets filled with fun tickets plus other fun sports designs.

The Sweet Little Boxes are super easy to assemble! The adhesive strips have already been added. Just fold all the score lines, peel off the protective cover on the adhesive and stick together. Cut a piece of designer paper 3 1/4″ x 7″ and score at 2 5/16″, 3 1/16, 5 1/2″ and 6 3/16″. Wrap around the box and adhere the ends.

• Layer 1 Card Stock 1 1/4″ x 5 1/4″ Designer Series Paper 1 1/8″ x 5 1/8″
• Layer 2 Card Stock 1 3/4″ x 5 1/4″ Designer Series Paper 1 5/8″ x 5 1/8″
• Layer 3 Card Stock 3 1/4″ x 5 1/4″ Designer Series Paper 3 1/8″ x 5 1/8″
• Layer 4 (Inside) Card Stock 1 – 3 3/4″ x 5 1/4″ Card Stock 2 – 3 5/8″ x 5 1/8″
• Belly Band Card Stock 1 3/8″ x 9 1/2″
• Bag 10 1/2″ x 4″ Score long side at 1/2″, 4 1/2″, 5″, 5 1/2″, 9 1/2″ and 10″ Score the short side at 1/2″ and 3″

Gift Bag: Fold on all the score lines, then remove the corners and centers as shown above.

Punch holes in the gift bag and attach the handles before folding over the top edge. Adhere the bottom flaps of the gift bag to the card. One on each side of the card base fold.
