Well once again I’ve run out of my hot spot gigawhats and I’m sitting down at the Beach House using the open WiFi. I need to find a better solution for next winter. I’ve been so busy cleaning my new winter home that I haven’t had much time to worry about internet. Today I’m sharing a card using a layer that I created a few weeks ago.

The Bunches of Fun stamp set is retiring soon. I bought it for the cute dog in the cone image for a get well card but this banana birthday greeting is pretty cool too! The women and the bananas are colored with Stampin’ Blend Markers. The only ‘fancy’ coloring that I did was on the bananas. I outlined them with Mango Melody and then colored them in with Daffodil Delight. I mention this just as a reminder that you can mix colors with the Stampin’ Blends to achieve different effects. Don’t limit yourself to one color!
There is a narrow matte of Basic Gray cardstock behind the white layer. The card base is Polished Pink and I created the next layer by using my scrap strips of designer paper and gluing them, at an angle, to a piece of white cardstock. I thought it added a nice bright, quilted touch to the background.

I decided to go bananas for the inside of the card by stamping the bananas all over with Sahara Sand ink and then stamping the greeting over the top of the bananas.
I hope that you have a wonderful day. Remember to check out all of the retiring and clearance items before finalizing your order! You don’t want to miss out that last stamp set on your wish list!
