Picture Window

The view from my picture window this morning is a bit wet. We moved into our new ‘winter home’ in Lake Wales a few days ago and I’m sure the flowers are VERY thankful for the rain! I’ve been so busy cleaning and arranging things that the poor flowers haven’t gotten much love. I’ve only got a few more days to get everything cleaned and organized before we pack up and head home. I’m afraid that once I get there, after a 3 month absence, that house will need to be cleaned and organized too!

So today’s card is a simple one. This technique of using strips of designer paper to give a window appearance works great for using up those pesky strips that are left over. Too big to throw away, but now, what to do with them?

I debated adding a greeting in the bottom right corner but ended up leaving it plain to use as a note card. The center designer paper is 1″ x 4 1/4″ and the side ones are 3/4″ x 4″. The Calypso Coral layers are 1/4″ larger each way.

Well, I’m off to do some more cleaning! At least I won’t have to feel like I’m missing out on pool time today with the rain. I hope you have a wonderful day.
