Easter Friends

Happy Good Friday! It looks more like winter outside here in Minnesota than Easter! My horse’s water buckets were frozen solid, there is a dusting of snow on the ground and the wind is howling. We have our family Easter celebration planned for tomorrow afternoon and I’m afraid that the Easter Bunny is going to have hide those eggs indoors. I’m so happy to be once again making cards with toddlers at the Watertown Chamber Easter Eggstravaganza tomorrow morning! It was cancelled the last two years due to Covid. It’s super fun to see how creative the kids are. It’s also total chaos! This year, I’m sharing the Easter Friends stamp set with the kids. I hope they like it as much as I do. The card that I’m sharing today is one of the cards from my Creative Cards Class. The class this month focused on different ways to adhere word die cuts. We used Adhesive Sheets, Foam Adhesive Sheets and (this card) Multipurpose Liquid Glue.

I highly recommend purchasing the Word Wishes Dies used on this card. The set contains 12 dies and on the retiring list for sale for only $28.80. The Happy Easter is die cut from Granny Apple Green cardstock and adhered with Liquid Glue.

The little duck and grass are stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black ink onto a 2 1/4″ x 2 1/2″ piece of basic white paper and colored with Stampin’ Blends.

The 3″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Bumblebee cardstock is embossed with the Splatters Embossing Folder which comes in a two pack with an additional Stripes folder as well. The Word Wishes Dies were used to cut the Easter greetings from Granny Apple Green cardstock.

The card base is Highland Heather and the little flowers inside are from the Free As a Bird stamp set.

The Gingham strips are 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and are a retired paper that I loved so much that I bought an extra pack when it retired. If you have a paper that you really love from the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog be sure to check if it is still available. Many of the retiring items are already gone.

I hope that you have a wonderful Easter and enjoy gathering with family and friends.

Product List – I did use three items on this card that are no longer available (sorry) The Mango Marker, Bumblebee Ribbon, and Gingham paper. I did add them to this list so that those of you who have a hoard of supplies (like me) know which items were used. To recreate this card without those items, simply substitute a similar item, like the three possible substitutes.
