Today’s card uses a sheet of the Lovely Layering Vellum (New Annual Catalog item) as an overlay, plus it has been heat embossed. The Lovely Layering Vellum sheets are the perfect size for overlays 3 3/4″ x 5″. Some of them are blank and others have designs on them. This card uses one of the blank sheets.
To create the cocktail on the vellum, the outline stamp was inked with VersaMark and Gold Embossing Powder was sprinkled on it. Be sure to not over heat the paper when applying the Heat Tool. For the colored cocktail, first stamp the colored ink, then stamp over it with the VersaMark ink and finally sprinkle with Clear Embossing Powder, reheat, again being careful not to overheat the vellum. The stem of the glass, fruit, and umbrella were colored in with a matching Stampin’ Blend Markers. The orange was done in Mango Melody and the green is one of the new 2022-2024 In-Colors, Parakeet Party. The cocktail is also a new In-Color, the Sweet Sorbet. The card base is also Sweet Sorbet.
Two more cocktails were stamped and die cut, then added behind the vellum overlay to make it look like the party is ready to begin. The die cut words from the Love You More Than Dies are adhered with the Fine Tipped Glue Pen. To adhere the vellum to the Simply Elegant Designer Series Paper add the Stampin’ Seal under the words and the cocktail so that they don’t show through the vellum.
