The Home & Garden Bundle can be found in the January to June Mini Catalog. It caught my eye because of the garden tools. I love gardening! But it is really geared more towards guys.

This card starts with an 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ Soft Suede card base scored at 4 1/4″. Next, is a 4″ x 5 1/4″ layer of Crumb Cake which as been scored at 1/4″ and 1/2″ along each edge to create a border. I love how easy it is to score paper with the Stampin’ Up! Trimmer using the gray scoring blade. Just always remember to push the dark colored cutting blade out of reach, lol.

The ladder is stamped with Early Espresso ink onto Soft Suede paper and then die cut with the matching die. To make the gloves look like the soft fuzzy chore gloves that my husband likes, I stamped using the Early Espresso ink onto a scrap of Crushed Curry, then after die cutting the gloves, I scrunched and folded them and then scrunched and folded again, until the paper looked soft and worn. The matting layer under the greeting was also scrunched and folded, plus the one end was torn to give it interest. Our neighbors always joke about 1-800-CALL-GARY whenever something broke because my husband is one of those guys who can fix anything. So I really liked this greeting!

To finish the card, the Father’s Day greeting was stamped at the top using Early Espresso ink and Brushed Metallic Dots were added on each end. Right now Father’s Day seems a long way off, but it will be here in a flash.
