Have any outdoor fanatics in your card gifting circle? The #DOswts388 Challenge Layout made me think of the He’s the Man Designer Series Paper.
The little campers and tents are so cute! I do wish that they would add in a 5th wheel style camper on these fun camping themed products though, because that’s what we camp with.
The layout is fairly simple, so of course I struggled with it, lol! It’s a wonderful layout for showcasing pretty patterned paper. The one thing that I knew I wanted was the layer with the campers! I ended up cutting it 4 1/4″ x 3″. At first I started with an Early Expresso card base but changed my mind and used a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ piece of another pattern from the He’s the Man Designer Series Paper pack and layered that onto a Thick Basic White card base.
TIP: Buy a pack of each of the styles of Basic White cardstock, one thick and one regular weight. Use the Thick Basic White for the card base, it will stand nice and straight. Use the regular weight Basic White for stamping, layering and die cutting.
The greeting is from the Campology stamp set which coordinates perfectly with the He’s the Man Designer paper. To match the challenge layout a die from the Beautiful Shapes Dies set was used. The Soft Succulent label sort of blended in to the background so I die cut another label, one size bigger. I love the dies that have multiple sizes of the same shape. They work great for layering! I thought about using a die cut bow, but finally settled on a real one using the Faux Suede Ribbon, but did use card stock for the 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ strip behind the bow.
