This Birthday Piggy

Today’s card uses the cute This Birthday Piggy and the cool new coordinating Playful Piggy Dies which will be available in September while supplies last. There are six new die sets that are being released in September during the Perfect Partners Event. During the event the dies can be purchased separately or as a bundle (10% discount!) with the coordinating stamp set.

I had actually told myself that I was NOT going to buy the This Little Piggy stamp set, until I saw this cut wagon die in the Playful Piggy Dies! OMG, how cute is this wagon, combined with the Piggy! No way could I pass up this Bundle!

There are 18 fun dies in the Playful Piggy Die set and this card uses 7 of them. The grass border, oak leaves, wagon, wagon wheels, wagon handle, label and of course the pig. There are also 2 more pigs, flowers, a bow, a kerchief, bird, banner, present and confetti squiggles.

To make the greeting stand out a bit more, cut a second label in red and layer the labels so that a small border peeks out on two edges. This fun leafy designer paper is from the Celebrate Everything Hostess Reward in the July to December Mini catalog and WOW is it a great bargain. 48 sheets, 4 each of 12 designs for only $18 Hostess Rewards. Watch my Celebrate Everything Video to see the other patterns.

The pig is colored with Stampin’ Blend Markers. The following colors were used:

  • Flirty Flamingo Light
  • Pink Pirouette Light (retired)
  • Ivory (hooves and nose)
  • Pumpkin Light and Dark (balloon)
  • Mango Dark (candle flame) (retired)
  • Cajun Craze (candle)
  • Daffodil Delight Light and Dark (cake)
  • Old Olive (cake plate)

The grass has been popped up with dimensionals. It is 1 1/4″ x 5 1/4″ and the Celebrate Everything DSP is 3″ x 5 1/4″.
