Another week has gone by and it’s the beginning of Labor Day Weekend. The end of summer and the start of fall, although the weather here in Minnesota is still hot it does have that fall feel. Dark early, lots of dew in the morning, crickets singing, orange pumpkins in the garden. In honor of the pumpkins, I’m sharing some more of the Rustic Harvest Suite today.
Diane has create a fun Z Fold card using the Hello Harvest stamp set, Rustic Harvest paper, and the Amber Gems from the Leaf Labels & Amber Gems Combo. The Stylish Shapes Dies were used to cut the square pieces with the fun stitching details.
This photo shows how the Z Fold works. The front of the card is scored at 2 1/8″ and then folded back to form the Z.
Carol’s card uses a variety of patterns from the Rustic Harvest paper to create a backdrop for the pumpkin and greeting label. This fun label is one of the dies in the Rustic Pumpkin Dies. The Pumpkin is topped off with a double bow of Linen Thread. Here are the paper dimensions if you would like to create this layout:
- Base 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ Scored at 4 1/4″
- Black Layer 4″ x 5 1/4″
- DSP 2 at 1 3/4″ x 3″
- DSP 2 1/2″ x1 3/4″
- DSP 1″ x 1 3/4″
Beth’s card uses 1/2″ strips of the Rustic Harvest paper to create a corner for the pumpkin to nest. A black die cut circle behind the die cut pumpkin makes it stand out. The Mossy Meadow die cut vine and 3 amber gems add some extra texture and shine.
Creative as usual Rachael has done some angled cut papers to create a unique background directly on the card front. The bottom yellow piece is actually embossed with the Leaf Fall 3D Embossing Folder and then colored.
The texture and coloring on this card is amazing! The Leaf Label has sponged edges as well as the pumpkin. The center of the pumpkin is raised up with dimensionals for a 3D appearance, as well as the greeting.
