It’s been awhile since our demonstrator group gathered for a Zoom Meeting and did a Mystery Card Challenge. I enjoy a good Mystery and these card making events are really fun. We took a break over the summer because it seems that everyone is just so busy, now that fall has started we are getting back into our routines. These Zoom Meetings are put on by my team leader Dawn Olchefske and anyone in the DOstamperSTARS team who has something to share with the group. Everyone on my Hollywood Stamping Chicks team is also eligible and encouraged to attend the STARS events. The meetings consist of (visiting and catching up of course!), updates and reminders about Stampin’ Up! events, Monthly Challenge winners, Prize Patrol drawing for participants of the bi-monthly blog hop and Facebook sharing. One or two creative share ideas, a business topic and of course the Mystery Card Challenge.
If this sounds like fun to you, I would love to have you join my Hollywood Stamping Chicks team! To do so, click HERE to learn more about the opportunity.

I chose the Sweetest Christmas Suite items for my card. The really neat thing about this fun fold is that both sides of the double sided designer series paper shows!

I have made a similar card before but with a bit different measurements. The Designer Series Paper was bigger, 4 1/4″ x 5 1/4″. If I used the 4″ x 5 1/4″ size again I think I would make my inside liner 3 3/4″ x 5″ so the I didn’t have to get it lined up perfectly so it didn’t show when the card is closed.

The leaves are stamped with Pool Party ink. I used that because it is one of the colors used on the Designer Paper. I was amazed how green it looked to me stamped on this card. The challenge didn’t really call for ribbon but I thought it needed one.

It took me a while to find the photo of the card that I made with this fun fold years ago. It did have a different decoration on the front, to match the paper.

On the photo of the card insides, you can see that the front piece is larger than on the Mystery Challenge card. The base was white so no inside layer was needed.
