It’s our last day camping, and what a beautiful weekend we had. When we get home the camper gets cleaned and winterized and put in the shed for the winter. The last few years it’s gone south with us, but this year is going to be a new adventure, staying in the house we purchased in a senior resort. I tell my kids its like going to camp for seniors!

For today’s card, I’ve combined the layout that I used a week ago with a small Deckled Rectangle of Fluid 100 Watercolor paper. The watercolor paper is embossed with White Embossing Powder and then a wash of Soft Succulent ink was brushed over it. Next, with the fine tipped Water Painter Brush, the flowers and leaves were painted with Soft Succulent, Poppy Parade and a spot of Crushed Curry ink in the flower centers.

While painting these flowers I decided that I needed to re-ink my stamp pad, which was okay, but then I got too much water in the lid, didn’t think about where the water would go when I closed it and ended up with an inky mess, lol. Thankfully, none of it ended up on this card, but my Halloween cards were all in their envelopes on the table and the envelopes look like a vampire was eating over them. Note to shelf, clean up work area and put finished projects away BEFORE starting a new project!

I went whole hog on the Iridescent Pearls on this card and added 5 of them. It’s really hard to see the ones on the berries, can you find them? The greeting is from the Framed & Festive stamp set from the Fitting Florets Collection and is inked in Evening Evergreen. I didn’t really think that I needed the Fitting Florets but I decided to order it, and I would recommend getting the entire collection! It is so versatile.

The inside is done in Poppy Parade and Evening Evergreen. The leaf was also stamped on the corner of the envelope to bring a little color to all who help deliver it.
Hope you have a wonderful day and remember, the Fitting Florets Collection will be available for purchase next week, starting on November 1.
