Peek Through Triangles

Hello! I know it’s been a long time since I’ve posted. I’ve just been super busy and so tired that my creative brain just hasn’t been working. We have a huge fence line cleaning project going on at our farm right now and as I’m realizing that I can’t physically do what I think I should be able to do, my depression and anxiety problems increase. I keep asking myself if I need to learn how to age gracefully or do I just need to exercise more and eat less???

Today’s card is one that we will creating at the November Creative Cards Class. It can be a simple card or it can be spiced up a bit with embellishments like the poinsettia that I’ve added to this card.

Paper Dimensions:

  • Basic White Thick Base 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4
  • Cherry Cobbler 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Basic White 3 1/2″ x 2 3/4″
  • Painted Christmas DSP 2 Pieces 3 1/2″ x 2 1/2″
  • Real Red for flower
  • Garden Green for leaves
  • Daffodil Delight for flower center

The poinsettia is stamped on Real Red cardstock with Cherry Cobbler ink and after it was assembled a light brushing of Wink of Stella was added to the inked area of the petals. The gems are from my Candy Dot stash, I truly love those embellishments, because they mail so well.

For this card, I chose two different pieces of designer series paper. I like to put the paper together face to face and then cut them both at once diagonally. I end up with paper for two cards this way.

I hope that you have a great day!
