I hope that you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I still feel a bit sluggish from all the turkey and goodies that I ate yesterday. Now to decide if I put the leftover turkey in the freezer or keep nibbling on it for the next few days. This year I did most of my Christmas shopping online so I’m not partaking in the Black Friday shopping frenzy. Crowds aren’t my thing but I have had some fun hunting for those awesome deals in past years.
Today’s card is one that we made at a class I taught this past Wednesday at the Creative Gals Craft & Sew Emporium in Buffalo, Minnesota. My card making class is just one of a variety of fun crafting and sewing classes offered at the shop. On Sunday, I’m heading over with my daughter and daughter-in-laws for a fun girls afternoon out, to learning wire wrapping. Be sure to check out the Emporium if you are in the area!

This card uses the Regal Reindeer stamp set and coordinating Reindeer Dies. The background is embossed with the retired Evergreen Forest Embossing Folder. If you need to order a current folder the Whimsical Woodland or Timeworn Type would work as well. Or, if you prefer to stamp directly onto the card base and leave off the embossed layer it looks like the card below.

This card has one less layer but is still pretty!

To make adhering the reindeer’s halter and harness easy, a strip of adhesive sheet was added to the Real Red cardstock before die cutting. This made it super easy for the ladies at the class to dress their reindeer. He is popped up with dimensionals. The gals at the class also decided to switch it up a little and used the Peace on Earth greeting instead of the Merry Christmas. Either greeting works well with this card. The greeting is die cut with one of the Stylish Shapes Dies.
