Isn’t this little turtle cute? This cute card was inspired by one of the samples on page 50 of the January to April Mini Stampin’ Up! catalog and uses items from the Rain or Shine Suite Collection.
The card uses several die sets, Deckled Rectangle Dies for the opening, Stitched with Whimsy for the outline around the opening, Stylish Shapes Dies for the greeting label, and of course the Playing in the Rain Dies. Although the card doesn’t use the fun Rain or Shine Designer Series Paper, you can get a peek of it behind the card.
The turtle is colored with Stampin’ Blends, using Old Olive, Mossy Meadow and Parakeet Party. I would encourage you to experiment with using two different colors to make a unique color. The turtle’s head, arms, and legs started with Parakeet Party and then Old Olive was added over it. A Mini Blending Brush was used to add Coastal Cabana ink to the Coastal Cabana background to give it more depth.
The Loose Daisy Embellishments add a nice touch to the bottom corner. They come 300 in a pack and I love that they are flat so that they go through the mail easily.
