Today’s card is perfect for a farmer or farm loving person!
The pretty patterned paper is called Day at the Farm and one of the awesome items that are FREE from Stampin’ Up! with a $50 order during SALE-A-BRATION. There are 12 of the 12″ x 12″ sheets, 2 each of 6 double sided designs, so there are 12 designs to choose from.
The card starts with a standard card base which is 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″. Then a second base is added that is 5 1/4″ x 8″ scored at 4″ and 2″. The front and inside front are covered with a 5 1/4″ x 4″ piece of the patterned paper and the add on base has two strips of the patterned paper that are 1 3/4″ x 5″. I was so excited to glue on the barn circle that I forgot to put the patterned paper on first, lol! I recommend adding the patterned paper first, it took me some futzing to get the circle cut.
The circle on the front was cut after the patterned paper was added, while the inside patterned paper was cut with a larger die and then adhered. All of the images and greetings are from the On the Farm stamp set except for the ‘sending birthday wishes’ on the front. That comes from Wildlife Wonder stamp set. I searched through all of my sets to find one that said birthday wishes, lol. I was all the way to the W’s before I found one!
The inside greeting area is 5 1/4″ x 4″ and stamped in black. I debated coloring in the trees and grass but decided to leave it.
This card doesn’t use the On the Farm Dies but if you purchase the stamp set, I recommend getting the bundle with the dies. It’s a 10% savings and the dies are a great addition to the set.
