Pretty Picnic Card

The Sweetest Cherries stamp set and punch bundle makes me think picnic! At home in Minnesota January isn’t a month usually associated with picnics, but I grew up in a family that would pack up picnic gear onto a snowmobile and head out into the woods on a warm (say 20°) winter day. Even my grandma would hop on. It’s funny but today, here in our Florida winter home, the temp is in the mid 60″s and it feels cool to me. I guess it’s all in the contrasts!

The Sweetest Cherries Bundle comes with the stamp set and the Cherry Builder Punch, which makes a cherry, stem and leaf. I love the Country Gingham Designer Series Paper, doesn’t it make a great picnic cloth.

The background is stamped with both Soft Sea Foam and Parakeet Party inks in an alternating pattern. After stamping the greetings with Parakeet Party ink they were fussy cut. For a nice bright juicy cherry, Poppy Parade paper was stamped with Sweet Sorbet ink. For the leaf, Parakeet Party ink was used on a Granny Apple cardstock. The Fun Resin Flower Embellishments add a bit of bling.

To turn this into a Valentine card, I pulled out my retired Word Wishes Dies and added another strip of the Country Gingham, and another punched cherry.

Remember to check out the Punch Bundles in the catalogs! Save 10% when buying the stamp and punch together.
