Thank You

I was ready to create my post this morning and my internet was out. I totally forgot that I could use my phone’s hot spot, lol. When the internet still wasn’t on this afternoon I remembered it, then it took me 3 tries to remember how to turn it on. I think this falls in the “you know you’re losing it when” category. Anyway, I have a beautiful card to share with you and another for tomorrow, with a video tutorial so be sure to check back. Both cards use the gorgeous Detailed Dogwood stamp set which is Free with a $100 order during SALE-A-BRATION.

The image is stamped on a 1 3/8″ x 4 1/4″ piece of Basic White cardstock which was colored with a clear block, for a Watercolor effect. The block was inked with Bubble Bath ink and then spritzed with water before applying to the paper. It is mounted on a 1 3/4″ x 4 3/4″ piece of Berry Burst cardstock. Next, is a 3 1/4″ x 5 1/4″layer of Very Vanilla which is embossed with the Softly Sophisticated Embossing Folder (another SAB item). This is layered onto a 3 3/8″ x 5 3/8″ piece of Berry Burst.

The Detailed Dogwood stamp set is all images so I pulled in a greeting from the Perennial Postage stamp set and die cut it with the coordinating Perennial Postage Dies. The Bubble Bath matte layer was die cut twice. The next larger die from the one that I used of the Very Vanilla greeting was too big. It covered up my flowers. So I simply cut the two edges again to make it smaller. I think it was probably dumb luck that the corners cut as well as they did. The only tip I can give you is to snug the die into the previous cuts to make it match up. When I added the dimensionals, I placed them in the center of the greeting so that the ribbon tucked in under it and the greeting sits level.

The dotted border is stamped with Bubble Bath ink right along the edge of the fold. I love that this stamp is long enough to do the whole edge in one go! No lining up to get two images to meet evenly.

I hope that you enjoyed this card. Be sure to check out the other free SALE-A-BRATION items as well as the ones used here. With each $50 or $100 purchase you get a to choose a free item from the SAB list. It’s also a great time to purchase a Starter Kit and join Stampin’ Up! The kit is always a great deal plus there is a little something extra during SAB. Either a Glass Mat Studio or an extra $30 of product of your choice.
