Swap Card Friday

Hello and happy Friday!

It’s been a whole week since I’ve been on my computer! We left Florida last Thursday and arrived home in Minnesota Wednesday evening. We did some visiting and even tried our hands at diamond mining at Crater of Diamonds State Park in Arkansas. Sadly, no diamonds were found but we did enjoy a nice day outside looking at rocks, lol.

Have you had a chance to look at the new items that were released on Tuesday? It looks like a few of the most popular items are out of stock already but should be back in a couple weeks. Be sure to click on the box that pops up to get notified when the item comes back in stock.

Today’s cards focus on celebrating birthdays. The first card features some products that are retired but it’s such a unique layout that I thought it could still be useful.

The Not 29 Anymore stamp set takes a humorous bent on getting older and had some great inside quips. The Elegant Tag Topper Punch used for the tag is still available but is on the last chance list.

Paper Dimensions:

  • Base 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″
  • Bottom DSP 4″ x 1 1/2″
  • Top DSP 3″ x 3 1/2″
  • Foil 1″ x 3 1/2″
  • Greeting strip 4″ x 5/8″

This card using the Brushed with Beauty Designer Paper is a rather unique fun fold.

Here are the dimensions:

  • Base 6″ x 5 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″
  • Embossed layer 4″ x 5 1/4″
  • Secondary Base 5 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ scored at 2 3/4″
  • DSP for front 2 1/2″ x 4″
  • DSP for right side 1 1/2″ x 5 1/4″
  • Basic White for inside 2 1/2″ x 4″

I have a pile of stamps and dies sitting beside that I’ve unpacked from their boxes. Now to go through them and get them back in their places! The retired ones need to go upstairs and the current ones stay down here in my work area. I’m not sure if it’s because I’m old or not, but it seems like stamp sets come and go more quickly than they used to.

Well, I’d best get to sorting out those sets so that I have room to work, lol. I managed to get most of the lawn mowed yesterday but, picking up sticks is on my list for today so that I can finish the rest of the lawn. I always get spoiled down in Florida with a tiny house and yard. Now that I’m back on the farm I’ve got more house to clean and a HUGE yard and gardens to take care of.

When I look at all the things I need to do my book that I’m reading starts calling to me.

Hope you have a great weekend and a fun Mother’s Day.
