Throwback Thursday

Hello, welcome to the Roost. Today I’m giving a little love to an older stamp set (think 2011) and also an older technique. I really enjoy coloring and I like doing the ink to red rubber technique. This technique uses red rubber stamps and markers like the retired Stampin’ Write Markers.

For all of these images, the ink was colored directly onto the stamps. Before pressing to the paper, huff onto the stamp to rewet any ink that may have dried.

Be sure to check out your local thrift stores for older stamp sets. Stampin’ Up! stamps are long lasting and as long as they haven’t been damaged even stamps with staining still give a good image. I’m all about reusing items and love shopping at thrift stores. Of course, you can also look online but then you will have shipping costs.

Of course you can check out all the new stamps and tools on my store. There is even free shipping on orders over $75 today and the next two days.
