Of course this card could be for any birthday year but I happened to pick the number 16 to create this card. I probably would have more use for an 80 or 60 something but I was feeling in a young mood, lol.

The card starts with a Thick Basic White base which is covered completely on the front by a piece of designer series paper in soft muted patterns. Next, the balloons were die cut with the Balloon Festoon Die set from Splash of Sparkles Designer Paper. This card has a Timid Tiger Balloon in the background. Each card had a bit different color combo depending on the Splash of Sparkles Balloons. This was a design used in one of my classes.

The birthday greeting is from the Classic Greetings Hot Foil Dies and was done in the Light Pink Foil, while the numbers are from the Luxe Alphabet & Numbers Hot Foil Dies, also done in Light Pink Foil.

Some color coordinating embellishments from my retired stash were added for some extra interest.

You can’t tell on the finished card, but I didn’t have enough of the DSP left to cut all of the small balloons so some of them are only partial balloons with bits missing on the edges. As long as they are tucked under, you will be the only one who knows and it makes the pretty paper go further.
