Virtual Card Retreat Part 3

Here is the final installment of the cards from the #VirtualCardRetreatOct26

This is a mega card. Perfect for an office celebration where many people need space to write in a card. The card has a double score on the edge to create space for a deep pocket inside.

In the pocket are four decorated sheets for greetings.

A box envelope was created with a cute belly band to hold it closed.

Here’s a fun pocket of sunshine card. Wink of Stella was added to the striped layer for a bit of shine.

Next are some bird cards which use the swallow from the exclusive retreat stamp set. The weird little stamp in the set with two tiny blotches actually colors the bird’s belly once you get the hang of where to place it. I didn’t get perfect on this bird, lol.

The wreaths are created with the boughs. The zig zags on the frame were drawn with the White Gel Pen. It doesn’t show in the photo but Wink of Stella was Flicked onto the French Knot background circles and the card has a bit of sparkle.

This card uses the dies in unique ways. The dragonfly wings are the insides of the scissor handles and the little butterfly wings are the small petals of a flower. All of these images were colored with Wink of Stella. Ink was added to a clear block to use as a pallet and then it was mixed with Wink of Stella and painted onto the items.

I saved my favorite card for last. I got the stamp for the birds belly right where it belonged. The colored rainbow layers were first sponged to add color, then either stamped to add texture or drawn on with a White Gel Pen.

I hope that you enjoyed this look at the cards from the Virtual Card Retreat. Although the Live Retreat is over, each of the cards has a separate tutorial that is still available when you purchase the kit.
