Virtual Card Retreat Part 2

Swap Card Friday will be back next week, but I wanted to share another five cards from the Virtual Card Retreat today. If you want to see the first set go to my post before this.

This card used tearing and sanding techniques as well as using two inks on the flower stamps. First the flower stamp was inked with the lighter color and then the darker color was added to the stamp with a sponge dauber at the base of the flower before the image was stamped.

Wink of Stella added sparkle to the flowers and to the edges of the greeting die cut.

This card was a fun fold with the 9 1/2″ X 5 1/2″ base scored at 3 1/2″ and 7 3/4″.

Doesn’t this card just say ‘WOW’? Details were added on the flowers and bow with a White Gel Pen and the offset strips create a fun background.

These scissors and spools are just so stinkin’ cute! We even had to thread the needle on this card.

Inside is a cute pocket for a gift card or some cash.

Strips of paper were used to create the ribbon on three of these spools.

To create the soft checkered background on this card, strips of the two patterns of designer paper were adhered alternating to a panel. The panel was cut into strips the opposite direction and then the strips were arranged to create the checkerboard.

Stop back tomorrow for the last five cards from the Virtual Card Retreat.
