Baby Wipe Technique with Color & Contour

It’s time for another STARS blog hop! Be sure to click on the link below the card photos to see the other STARS creations. I know that I’m looking forward to some more inspiration for the technique.

I had never tried this simple technique before, so it was new for me.

Here are the directions that we were given for this technique.

I decided to use the new Colors & Contour Bundle which will be available starting on May 4 in the new 2021-2022 Annual Catalog. The Scalloped Contour Dies are what immediately caught my attention when I first saw this awesome set! The scalloped borders and stitching are amazing. They make the matting layers look wonderful, especially for floral cards. I’ve used the Baby Wipe Technique to stamp the color onto the flowers. I chose 3 very similar colors, Magenta Madness, Calypso Coral and Melon Mambo. They made for a very subtle color variation. I’m actually looking forward to play more with this technique and plan on adding it to my next Creative Cards Class.

Once the baby wipe is inked up there is plenty of ink to stamp several flowers, so I added on to the inside as well. I really like the mixed fonts on the greetings in the Color & Contour stamp set. The card base is one of the new in-colors. It’s called Polished Pink and is a hot pink that definitely is reminiscent of nail polish.

The colorful floral designer paper is the Pattern Party which is one of the Gift Items that can be purchased with Hostess Rewards. There are 48 12″ x 12″ sheets. One side is bright and colorful patterns and the other side is black and white patterns. It only costs 18 hostess rewards dollars, and is an awesome deal. There are two ways to earn Hostess Rewards, one is to host a party. Once the party reaches $150 in sales, Hostess Rewards begin counting up. The second way to earn Hostess Rewards is to place an order for $150 or more, sort of a party of one!
