Texture Chic

Today’s card was inspired by Stampin’ Up!’s #CreativeChallengeSU. I kept the card simple. No fancy stamping or die cut images, classic and clean.

I really liked the 3 narrow strips across the card and decided to use them for my greeting. I used 2 stamps from the Nature’s Harvest stamp set, stamped them onto 3 scraps of basic white and then cut them into narrow lines to fit the sketch layout.

The 3 Texture Chic Designer Series Paper strips are 1 1/2″ x 3 3/4″ and are layered onto a 5 1/4″ x 4 piece of Evening Evergreen. The base is Soft Succulent 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ and Scored at 4 1/4″. The greeting strips are cut to fit the lettering and are matted with Soft Succulent and Evening Evergreen. Three 2021-2023 In Color Opal Rounds are added on the bottom right corner in a triangular pattern.

Every time I go into my spare room to photograph my cards, our pup Sweetheart comes in and jumps on the bed and watches me. I think she thinks this card making stuff is kind of boring and WAY to sedentary. When I look at this photo I can almost hear her saying, “Let’s go find a stick.” She keeps me from being to sedentary and she is very entertaining. We call her our red rocket dog. She love to rocket around the yard in total abandon and its a joy to watch her.
