Today I’m sharing on of the cards from my July Creative Cards Class. I love the Rustic Retreat stamp set. I grew up in Northern Minnesota and used to dream of living in a log cabin. I’ve had to settle for a pretty nice farm house in central Minnesota instead, lol.
For the card base, start with a piece of Mossy Meadow cardstock that is 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2 then score 2 1/8″ flip over and score the other side at 2 1/8″ again along the long side.
Stamp the trees right across the front where the 2 “gates” meet using Mossy Meadow ink. Stamp the animals in the bottom corners using Early Espresso ink, being sure to keep them low so that there is room for the greeting.
The Whisper White cabin piece is 2 1/2″ square and placed onto a 2 3/4″ square of Early Espresso. The cabin is stamped with Tuxedo Memento ink and colored with a large variety of Stampin’ Blend colors. I didn’t do any shading, just colored the image.
The words are all stamped with Mossy Meadow ink. The greeting strip is a scrap of whisper white cut with the Stitched Rectangular Die that is about 2 1/2″ x 1/2″ and the Early Espresso piece behind it is cut with die that is about 3″ x 1″.
