I hope you have a fun filled 4th! Here is my take on the graphic inspiration for The Card Concept Challenge 138. I love this greeting from a 2018 Paper Pumpkin Kit stamp set. It always makes me think of my husband because he is my anchor. The red striped paper is actually a piece of specialty embossed paper that was white and I colored it with red ink on a sponge roller. I went back and forth on whether to add the rhinestones or leave them off. I thought that the card needed some bling but I don’t usually use it on masculine cards. Maybe I should have just used the stars and not the jewels?
Be sure to check out all of the entries to the challenge for more inspiration.
This card falls into the Clean and Layered style as defined by The Card Concept challenge.
- clean lines
- lots of layers
- designer papers/embossing
- embellishments/accents
- clean and fresh looking
- some coloured images at times
- white space

This is such a pretty table setting. I have to admit that 4th of the July celebrations with my family usually involve paper plates if we have any plates at all! We usually spend the day at our cabin on the lake and it’s pretty low maintenance cooking.
