Nothing’s Better Than Money Holder Card

When I asked my Daughter-in-law what she wanted for her birthday, she told me that she wanted money and I wanted to use the Nothing’s Better Than stamp set for her card. So to create a money holder, I wanted to follow through with the C words and realized that I had all of the letters that I needed to create the word CASH within the stamp set. By using scotch tape to block out all the letters on the word stamp except the one letter that I wanted, inking up the stamp and then removing the tape before stamping, I was able to create the word Cash. It was a little tricky to line up the letters but it did only take one try on the 1/2″ scrap that I was using. The $20 bill is rolled up very tightly and tied with Baker’s Twine. It’s adhered it to the card with a glue dot.

All of the words are stamped on 1/2″ scraps of Whisper White and trimmed to fit inside of the frame that was created by nesting 2 of the Rectangle Stitched Dies together. The frame is adhered with foam strips. The Whisper White word strips were adhered before the frame. To aid in the placement, first place the frame on the Gorgeous Grape layer and align, without gluing it, then use a pencil to mark the inside edge. Make sure that the word strips cover the pencil mark. Use pieces of the foam strips to adhere the die cut images. Dimensionals are a different thickness than the foam strips and don’t work well when overlapping onto the frame adhered with the foam strips.

To finish up the gift, place some chocolates, cookies and a wine cooler into a pretty gift bag with tissue paper and add the card.
