Although I still have some Shark cards to share with you, I thought I would take a break and share some pretty butterflies with you today.

For this card, I started with a 3 3/4″ x 5″ white panel and a second scrap piece of white, covering both with the large butterfly image stamp.
The inks used to color the butterflies and leaves on the scrap piece were Mango Melody, Terracotta Tile, Cajun Craze and Granny Apple. Then the separate images were die cut.
The butterflies on the 3 3/4″ x 5″ panel were left uncut and uncolored, and mounted onto a cinnamon cider layer cut to 4″ x 5 1/4″ and then adhered to a Mango Melody card base.

The colored leaves were adhered flat and the colored butterflies were popped up with dimensionals. I added the Wink of Stella glitter to the colored images to add some extra sparkle. I love the way the butterflies look with the Wink of Stella.

The greeting is stamped over and over with Cajun Craze ink on a 1″ wide scrap and then trimmed to fit angled across the card. To make it easier to trim the greeting strip, add it to the white layer before adhering it to the Cinnamon Cider Layer. (I did this one the hard way, lol) A sprinkling of Champagne Rhinestones add even more sparkle.
Here in Minnesota these are the only butterflies that we get to see right now. Hope you enjoyed them.
