Today finds us in Darien Georgia. We are slowly heading north towards our home in Minnesota. Reports from home are telling us that mud season is in full swing and I’ll have to admit that I would take the cold of winter before the slop of mud. We live on a farm and the driveway is mud, the horse corral is mud, the dogs feet are mud…you know what I mean. Besides, the sun is shinning, it’s going to be 70 today and I’m still on vacation!

For today’s card, I’ve teamed up the fun Kangaroo & Company stamp set and dies with the equally fun Playing with Patterns Designer Series Paper. The Playing with Patterns DSP is perfect for bright, cheerful cards. The large background piece is cut 4″ x 5 1/2″ and is layered onto a Coastal Cabana card base that is 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ scored at 4 1/4″.

The Kangaroos are colored with Cinnamon Cider Stampin’ Blends. I’ve added a bit of black to the momma’s nose and paws and ivory to her chest. Then I added a 3/4″ x 4″ strip of the dotted Playing with Patterns DSP to ground her on the page. Besides grounding her, it’s a great use of the extra strip after cutting down the 6″ x 6″ DSP.

It’s hard to believe that the current Mini catalog, which the Kangaroo & Company stamp set and bundle are in, is already half way through it’s season! This catalog lasts until June, so you do have some time yet to get the Kangaroo & Company stamp set or bundle. I’ve been showcasing baby cards created with the Kangaroo & Company Bundle but this set isn’t just for baby cards. It has several items that can be tucked into the momma’s pocket. There are hearts, flowers, an envelope, and presents as well as the baby kangaroo. There are 8 additional greetings in the set, besides the hello baby one, so there are lots of options.
Hope you enjoy your day! Remember to say something nice to someone, even if you don’t feel like it.
