Easter Blessings

As I sit drinking coffee in my camper this morning while Gary is still asleep, I’m a little sad that our vacation is ending. After breakfast, we’ll be pulling out for the last leg of our journey home. It’s been such as awesome trip! We had so much fun with friends and family, saw so many beautiful birds, animals, and plants. It was so freeing to be away from all my day to day worries (I’m a worrier). I’m hoping that my creative streak continues once I return to the daily grind at home. You may not see as many blog post from me as you have in the last 8 weeks, lol.

For today’s card I decided to create a pocket card using the Birds & Branches Bundle. I haven’t made any Easter cards yet and I decided to use some bright spring colors. The Birds, Eggs, Nest and Branch are all die cut. The Forever Greenery Designer Paper layer is 3″ x 4″ and I’ve adhered it using Tear n Tape along the sides and bottom, leaving the top open for the pocket.

The Easter Blessings and for you greetings are from the Itty Bitty Greetings stamp set, stamped with Granny Apple ink.The Purple Posy tab is 2″ x 3 1/4″ and I ended up adding a small piece of Bumblebee Ribbon to create a pull.

The birds are stamped with Cinnamon Cider and Bumblebee ink and then popped up with dimensionals. The eggs are inked with Bermuda Bay to echo the card base color.

For the inside, I’ve added a 3 3/4″ x 5″ piece of Purple Posy with a border on the top and bottom cut with one of the dies. I really like when the die sets include border or label dies that can be used with other stamp sets as well as the one that they coordinate with.

I even added a few pieces of branches along the top of the Forever Greenery layer. I thought that the edge looked too abrupt with it. I think I might add a few rhinestones or dots on the card front yet and finish up with a greeting on the inside.

Hope you have a wonderful day! Be on the look out for signs of spring and be sure to take a moment to enjoy them.
