Mercury Glass Designer Acetate

The Hydrangea Hill Mercury Glass makes a very elegant background for this wedding card. It comes in a pack of 4 with 1 sheet each of 2 designs in 2 colors, Highland Heather and Rococo Rose.

The Hydrangea Hill Mercury Glass Designer Acetate gives this wedding card a festive look. It’s cut to 3 3/4″ x 5″ and layered onto a piece of Purple Posy that is 4″ x 5 1/4″. I’ve wrapped a piece of Purple Posy ribbon around both layers and then popped them up with dimensionals onto a Purple Posy card base. By adding the extra layer of Purple Posy card stock, it allows room to tape the ribbon to the back and pop up the layers so that they lay flat and adhere evenly.

The Celebration of Tags greeting is stamped onto a piece of Purple Posy card stock with Gorgeous Grape ink and punched out with the Rectangle Postage Stamp Punch. I really like the font on this greeting. Before adhering the greeting, snip off two short strips of the Purple Posy ribbon and adhere to the card front so that the label will cover where they are attached. The is a sneaky way achieve the look of a bow without adding the thickness. The label is adhered with dimensionals, and for a perfect finish a single Pastel Pearl is attached to the label.

For the inside, I’ve used Gorgeous Grape ink and more of the Celebration of Tags stamps. To step it up a bit more, perhaps I would layer a piece of white card stock to the inside before stamping?

Be sure to check back tomorrow for another wedding card using the same stamp set and the same layout, but with a bit different look.
