Pretty Pumpkin Masked Strip

For a pretty background, tear the sticky edges of post it notes to create a mask. Stick the post it notes on both edges of the card base, covering about an inch along each edge.

Use the leaf stamps from the Pretty Pumpkins stamp set. These are stamped in Bumblebee, Cajun Craze, and Evening Evergreen ink colors. After leaving the ink dry a bit, use a blending brush, matching up the colors of the image and fill in the area with color. Remove the post it notes to reveal a pretty strip of color across the card.

I like to keep a handful of blending brushes around, one for each basic color. I don’t wash them between uses. I love this pumpkin die with the open slots. The leaves have slots in them to they can be snuggled around the pumpkin stem. The greeting is stamped using the Cajun Craze ink.

I ended up covering the stem on this pumpkin so I added a tiny piece of Braided Lined Trim for the stem. If you are a visual learner, watch my Masked Strip Video Tutorial to see this card created.
