The Merriest Frames Die and Hybrid Embossing Folder come together as one unit. There are several different ways that the Merriest Frames Dies and the Merriest Frames Embossing Folder can be used. Of course, they can each be used separately, or they can be combined together. The large open die snuggles into the embossing folder so that one trip through the die machine both cuts and embosses. For the detailed die (used in the above card) I found that I preferred to die cut the image first and then insert it into the embossing folder to emboss. One note on doing this; make sure that the side that you want to be the front is placed in the correct orientation in both the die and the embossing folder. This is not a symmetrical image and can not be flipped.

When searching for a greeting which said Happy Thanksgiving, I realized that the only current Happy Thanksgiving greeting is in the Banner Year stamp set from the Annual Catalog, which I don’t own. I have included the link at the bottom for the Banner Year stamp set. I actually like the font better on the Banner Year stamp than the one that I used on this card. My Happy Thanksgiving stamp comes from the Sweet as Pie Paper Pumpkin Kit from October 2014. I loved that kit! It was treat boxes in pie shapes.

The pretty die cut leaves are from the Giving Gifts Die set which is part of the Time of Giving Bundle. I love the texture that is created by the die cut veins on the leaves. The Santa and Sleigh were what drew me to the Giving Gifts Die set but I think that I have used these pretty leaves the most. The Genial Gems on either side of the greeting help pull attention to back to the greeting. I love the Cinnamon Cider and Cajun Craze color combo. The silver foil makes me think of frosty fall mornings.

The gratitude greeting is from the Well Defined stamp set. I love this set for adding a little something extra to a card. All of the stamping on this card is done with Cinnamon Cider ink. The leaves are from the Time of Giving stamp set which coordinates with the Giving Gifts Dies. The stamp actually has 3 leaves on it, so I used tape to mask off the leaves that I didn’t want, inked the stamp, removed the tape and then stamped on my paper. Masking off stamps this way is another way to reimagine an image.
I’ll be sharing more cards created with the Merriest Frames set over the next week. I had so much fun working with it that I created several cards.
Product List The Merriest Moments stamp set wasn’t used on this card, but you may want to purchase the bundle with the stamp set, so I have included the link for the Bundle which includes the stamp set, embossing folder and dies.
