If you like to try out new techniques, and you don’t already have the Butterflies and Flowers Layering Decorative Masks, you need to get these! There are 6 sheets of masks, some can be combined to create layers of colors and patterns and they only cost $10!

I’ve used Blushing Bride, Flirty Flamingo, and Pear Pizzazz inks for this piece. The inks were applied with a Blending Brush. I did a Video Tutorial on another card using the Butterflies & Flowers Layering Decorative Masks that you might want to check out as well. Creating this set of flowers with the masks is pretty straightforward. One mask has the main set of petals and the other has the highlights. Line them up over each other and use a light color on the background one and a darker color on top. Add in the leaves from a separate mask. If you have trouble holding the masks in place use a bit of low tack tape to hold them in place.
