Today’s card uses VersaMark ink two different ways and features the fun Sit, Stay, Relax Hostess Reward stamp set from the 2022-2023 Annual Catalog. As a pet lover I just had to have this set!
The chair was stamped with VersaMark ink on a piece of Starry Sky cardstock. This was the first way that I used the VersaMark ink. The chair image was stamped again onto a piece of Basic White (for the dog). Both images were fussy cut, then the white dog was adhered to the chair.
Both of the greetings were heat embossed with White Embossing Powder after stamping with VersaMark. This is the second way that I used VersaMark on this card. They were then die cut with a pretty label die from the Heron Dies set.
To make the background look like a wall and carpet, a 3 3/4″ x 3″ piece of Soft Succulent Brushstroke Specialty paper was placed on the top and a 3 3/4″ x 2″ piece of Teapot Designer Series Paper was placed at the bottom. The baseboard (white strip) is a label die from the Sending Dies with the fancy ends cut off. It wasn’t quite long enough so so I cut it and left the blank space behind the chair. (Sort of like when the dog chews a part off of something, hehehe).
No embellishments were added to make it safer to mail. When mailing cards with embellishments its best to add an extra layer of cushion and extra postage.
