There were two stamp sets in the July to December Mini Catalog that I fell in love with at first glance and the Regal Reindeer was one of them. I love to color, so it’s the perfect fit for me. How about you, do you love coloring or do you hate it?

The card has a very nostalgic, vintage Christmas feeling to it with the vintage elements and traditional red and green Christmas colors. I love the very traditional Boughs of Holly Designer Series Paper and added a spotlight of it behind the reindeer. The greeting is stamped on basic white and then die cut with a label die from the Heron Die set. I love the label with the little heart cut outs and threaded a piece of Linen Thread through them.

The Natural Tones Stampin’ Write Markers offer lots of color options for reindeer coats. Combine that with the Neutral’s Collection and every reindeer can be a deer of a different color, lol. Watch this reindeer come alive in my Regal Reindeer Vintage Christmas Video. Here are the colors used on this reindeer.
- Coat Shadow Natural Tones Medium SU500
- Coat Fill Crumb Cake Light
- Halter and Harness Real Red Dark
- Saddle Pad Cherry Cobbler Light
- Antlers, Bells, and Tassels Daffodil Delight Light
- Hooves and eye Natural Tones Deep SU100
The Garden Green layer is first die cut with the 3 1/2″ x 4 3/4″ Deckled Rectangle Die and then embossed with the Stripes Embossing Folder from the Stripes & Splatters 3D Embossing Folder Duo. I received these as a gift from my team leader, Dawn Olchefske and I love them! Thank you Dawn! I don’t think I would have purchase them, but wow, they are so useful! I love the size and the design.

The Regal Reindeer stamp set also has this beautiful inside verse, love it! A little strip of the Boughs of Holly DSP brightens up the inside of the card. One edge is cut with one of the Deckled Rectangle Dies.

Both the greeting label and reindeer are popped up with dimensionals. Did you notice the AWESOME Flat Jingle Bell Trinket? How cute is that?
