This is one of the cards that we made at last week’s Creative Cards Class. It was CASED from a swap card that I received from Sandi Eby. I used one of the FREE SAB items the Pool Party & Soft Sea Foam Cards & Envelopes for the card base instead of the Petal Pink base that Sandi used. Sadly the Cards Base & Envelope SAB item is already out of stock! They were a definite time saver, darn. Make sure that you order early to get the largest selection of FREE items during SALE-a-bration because the items are only available while supplies last. SALE-a-bration runs through the end of August.

By stamping the hippo on Smoky Slate cardstock the only coloring that was needed was on the nose and belly using a Light Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blend Marker. Just a bit of Flirty Flamingo was added to the nostrils and ears. There are tons of fun accent dies in the die set including the umbrella and flowers shown here. The top of the grass is cut with a border die which makes great waves but also worked well for the grass.
