This card uses a Watercolor Smooshing Technique for the Iris layer. For this technique, start with a silicon sheet or other protective surface. Scribble markers onto the sheet and spritz with water, then smoosh a piece o Fluid 100 watercolor paper into the ink to pick up the colors. Let dry and then finish up by stamping the iris over the colors.
The markers used on this piece are Tahitian Tide, Pool Party and Parakeet Party, with the iris being stamped in Tuxedo Black ink. Many variations can be achieved with different amounts of water. More water will give a softer more smeared, runny look, less water gives a more speckled look.
