For today’s card the no-line watercolor technique was again used on watercolor paper. For the no-line watercolor technique, simply stamp the image using a light gray ink like the Sahara Sand color and the lines will blend in with the colors.
The steps and lower doorway totally disappeared on me so I ended up outlining them with my watercolor pencil, lol. The image is colored with watercolor pencils and then blended with a Blending Pen. Blending Pens come in a pack of 3 and are great to have on hand for spreading color or adding just a bit of color here and there. The greeting comes from the Beauty of Friendship stamp set.
The awesome background is done with the Layered Stripes Background stamp from the new Mini catalog, I LOVE IT! I do find with the large background stamps that I have to place the stamp on the table, rubber up, and lay my paper onto the rubber to stamp. My hands are just too small to hold the big block and I end up dropping it. Lay a sheet of scrap paper or typing paper over the cardstock and rub to transfer the ink.
