40th Anniversary Tent Card

Some special friends are celebrating their 40th anniversary next month and I teamed their card up with one of the February ABC Challenges for the STARS.

I decided to use the fun Breaking News stamp set for this card. To create a similar tent card start with a 8 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ piece of cardstock and score it at 4 1/4″. This will give you a square “tent” to decorate. Layer as desired and add a focal image that sticks up over the card fold. Just be sure that it will fit into an envelope!

I love the newspaper stamp that is the main stamp in the Breaking News Photopolymer stamp set! The only class that I ever got a D in was penmanship, can you tell? I printed the couple’s names to personalize the card. The 40 is die cut from a retired die set, the Little Numbers Dies. Stampin’ Up! doesn’t currently have a number die set but there is a stamp set called Alphabest that contains both numbers and letters and can be purchased as a Bundle with a cute punch called the Best Label Punch that fits the stamps.

The embossed layer is a 4″ square and watch for this Embossing Folder starting March 1 in the upcoming Basic Embossing Folders Pack. There will be several other items released as well as online exclusives. The Silver Trim and Iridescent Pearls add some sparkle. The 4 1/8″ x 4 1/8″ white layer creates a narrow frame to set off the embossed layer.
