This is a fun one! For this challenge were were sent a link to a video showing how to make a trellis card. It reminds me of the Friendship Card that I shared back in February but is a bit different. It’s super easy to put together. My one tip would be to use low tack tape to position the strips. I used regular scotch tape and stuck it on my jeans several times to try to de-sticky it but it still lifted a bit of cardstock on me. I don’t think anyone but me will notice it but grrr….

Of course, I was so anxious to make the card that I didn’t read the fine print where the measurements were, lol. Here are the measurements
- Copper Clay Base 5 1/2″ x 11″ scored at 5 1/2″
- Cut off five 1/2″ strips from the bottom edge of the front
- Cut one additional 1/2″ x 4 1/4″ strip
- The original card used five 1/2″ strips and two 3/8″ strips cut from the card front
So, my card has a larger top portion and only 4 strips for the trellis with two vertical strips that are the same size and I had to cut an extra strip from another piece of paper.

This stamp set is the Cheerful Daisies from the new Annual Catalog. I stamped up a bunch of flowers, not knowing exactly how many I would use. Some of the flowers were stamped with the ink full strength, others were stamped a second time without reinking for a lighter color. The flowers are done with the new Boho Blue ink and the centers are Wild Wheat. All of the greenery is done with Garden Green. The Cheerful Daisies Dies have layering flower dies, so some of the stamped images were cut with the smaller layering dies to add more depth.

To make the trellis look more rustic, some lines were added using the stem stamp and Copper Clay ink. The pretty designer paper is part of the Fresh as a Daisy Suite and I just had to get a little piece of it on this card! The envelope is stamped with a larger daisy from the set, in the same colors.

You may notice that some of the photos have some pretty gems and the rest don’t. That’s because I forgot to put the gems on before I took the photos and then took couple more with gems on. The gems are the 2023-2025 In Color Dots. The cute label die is part of the Cheerful Daisies Dies. I love when the die sets have greeting labels!! We can never have too many label shapes.
I hope that you give this design a try!
