I have a confession to make…the At the Pond Hostess stamp set has been on my shelf for months, unopened and uninked. I can’t believe that I didn’t give this fun set a try before it’s being retired!

Because it’s a water themed set, I decided to pull out a piece of Fluid 100 Watercolor Paper. This set was so much fun to use to build this scene! I started with background stamp for the log and inked it in Pecan Pie ink. Before stamping I spritzed the stamp with water from a spritzer. I continued stamping all of the background images, spritzing with water before stamping. Here the colors used:
- Azure Blue dragonflies
- Garden Green frog
- Lemon Lime Twist cattail greens
- Boho Blue water
- Pecan Pie cattail
- Soft Succulent plants in water

After doing all the colored stamping, I went back with the image outlines and stamped them with Tuxedo Black ink, except for the log which was done in Pecan Pie. To give the bottom a bit more color, a Small Blending Brush was used to add more color to the water and it was lightly spritzed to give a more watery look. Be careful with spritzing though after all the colors are added. My log bled a bit into the water.

The 8 1/2″ x 5 1/2″ Basic White Thick card base is scored at 4 1/4″ and covered with a 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ piece of Hello Irresistible Designer Series Paper, which is one of the OnLine Exclusives. The Fluid 100 watercolor paper is 3 3/4″ x 5″ and is layered onto a 3 7/8″ x 5 1/8″ piece of Pebbled Path cardstock, which is part of the new In Color collection. The matte layer and image are popped up with dimensionals.
If you place an order for $150 or more you can choose this fun stamp set as part of your Hostess Rewards.
